Advaita

Bob Adamson's "teaching" is consistent with the traditional "philosophy" of Advaita. This information here is not intended to provide an authoritative or historically accurate definition of this term, but rather to give a sense of its meaning in relation to what Bob has to show us.

Advaita can be translated as not two or as undivided (without division). As Bob points out, not two may be clearer than one or oneness, as these terms may seem to imply the existence of something apart from themselves. Advaita has the seem meaning as Non-Dual.

Non-Duality as a concept points to the reality which is one without a second. There is THIS and nothing else apart from THIS. All seeming division and separation is conceptual only and all appears within this one indivisible and unchanging reality from which no-thing can be apart.

This reality is consciousness or presence-awareness.
